Keynote Speaker: Ashley C. Ford
We are excited to announce our 2020 keynote speaker for all three regional conferences - author, host, and AmeriCorps Alum, Ashley C. Ford!

Ashley C. Ford lives in Brooklyn by way of Indiana. She is currently writing her memoir, Somebody's Daughter, which will be published by Flatiron Books under the imprint An Oprah Book. Ashley is the current host of Fortune Favors the Bold, a podcast by Mastercard. She is the former host of Buzzfeed News’ PROFILE and the Brooklyn-based news & culture TV show 112BK. She is also working on a collection of interviews (B-Side Chats) with her husband, Kelly Stacy. Ford has written or guest-edited for The Guardian, ELLE, BuzzFeed, OUT Magazine, Slate, Teen Vogue, New York Magazine, Lenny Letter, INTO and various other web and print publications. As an interviewer and on-camera host, Ashley has been in conversation with top talent including: Roxane Gay, Jordan Peele, Samantha Bee, Jeff Daniels, Lupita N'yongo, Jesse Williams, Serena Williams, Stacey Abrams, and Maria Shriver.

Ashley is a proud AmeriCorps alum of the Midwest Campus Compact Citizen Scholar Program (M3C), an education award-only AmeriCorps program administered by Wisconsin Campus Compact which served 10 states, including Indiana. The program supported low-income and first-generation college students, and sought to develop a peer network that enabled these students to serve as agents of civic engagement to respond effectively to local community issues. Ashley served as an M3C AmeriCorps member from 2005-2006 as part of an afterschool literacy tutoring site in Muncie, Indiana.
